The Downtown Taos MainStreet project (DTMS) is an independent, local nonprofit, committed to facilitating a shared vision for our downtown by encouraging economic vitality and celebrating Taos’ cultural and historical assets. After a year of working through a rigorous state accelerator program, DTMS obtained its full MainStreet designation from the state and federal programs.

Taos MainStreet is Reimagining Downtown as a place reflecting our rich, authentic culture and creativity which is: served by streets, sidewalks, and paths that promote walkability and access; hosting diverse, thriving businesses that expand opportunity; full of appealing public spaces and events that bring the community together; with affordable, attractive housing and business spaces; and reestablished as the economic and cultural heart of the community. Goals of Taos MainStreet include:

*Support entrepreneurs and creatives
*Foster a healthy community
