Youth
Valle del Sol inspires positive change by investing in health human services to strengthen families with tools and skills for self-sufficiency and by building the next generation of Latino and diverse leaders. We provide an array of bilingual services for youth and adults that address mental and behavioral health as well as substance use disorder.
Youth Heartline focuses on child advocacy through a variety of services in Colfax, Taos, and Union counties as well as the Taos Pueblo including: 1) providing volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for foster children; 2) parenting education for families impacted by substance use based in the Nurturing Parenting Program’s curriculum; 3) family empowerment activities including Girls Circle and Boys Council for those aged 12-18; and 4) Safe Exchange Supervised Visitation (SESV) for non-custodial guardians to safely spend time with their children. All of our services emphasize harm reduction and are evidence-based and trauma-informed.
